KAMC HD Storm Team Weather Webcast 6.14.18

KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 6.14.18.

TODAY: The sky will clear up today with sunshine for everyone. The temperatures will reach the low to mid 90s, cooler north and warmer south. The forecast for Lubbock is 94 degrees. Winds will be from the south, light to breezy from 12 to 18 mph. 


TOMORROW: Both Thursday and again on Friday, temperatures will stay in the low to mid 90s. Friday will be very sunny and warm. Soak up the sun, because the weather pattern with become much more cloudy into the weekend.

LOOKING AHEAD: Our eyes are still on Tropical Storm Bud to make its way towards the southwest U.S. by this weekend. The moisture associated with the remnants of this tropical storm will gradually move towards west Texas. Also by next week, some extra moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will move north into our region. From Saturday night through next week we expect 20-30% chance of rain each day with much cooler and cloudy conditions. At this point, rainfall totals within those 5 days may exceed 1 inch in spots.
