KAMC’s Storm Team Meteorologist Alex O’Brien has the forecast for 9.6.18.
TODAY: Cool temperatures will be felt today, at 77 degrees in Lubbock. Most of the South Plains region will see highs about 10 degrees below average today. Spotty showers are possible this afternoon, favoring the south and southeast regions, at a 30% chance.
TOMORROW: Still below average Friday, at 78 degrees. There is a better chance of rain at 40%, possible off and on any time during the day and for the entire region. But, showers will be spotty. This is likely our final push of energy this week.
THIS WEEKEND: We slowly warm up this weekend and clear out. Saturday expect a few morning showers followed by mostly cloudy conditions and high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Sunday will be more sunny, with highs back to the mid 80s.
NEXT WEEK: Next week is trending dry with seasonable temperatures. Monday expect to be sunny at 87 degrees. Upper 80s are likely Tuesday and Wednesday.
