The clouds we have seen throughout the day today helped to keep high temperatures down. In fact, Lubbock saw a high of only 71°, which is below normal for today. The sun is peeking through those clouds now. The clouds will increase tonight with increasing moisture. There will be showers & thunderstorms in the area by sunrise.
Those showers & storms will be scattered, at 30% coverage, mainly from Lubbock west & south. They will move east by noon & dissipate by 1:00 pm. The rest of the day tomorrow will be a mixture of clouds & sunshine. With the sunshine getting through the clouds, Lubbock will see a high of 75°. The wind will be from the south at 10-15 mph.
