There are low clouds & fog to begin this Thursday, especially in the Rolling Plains. So, use caution while heading out the door for work & school today. Those low clouds & fog will spread west through 10:00 am. Things will clear by the afternoon & we will see mostly sunny skies. Lubbock will see a high of 80° today, with wind at 10-15 mph.

An upper-level low pressure system is going to bring in tons of moisture beginning tomorrow afternoon. There will also be ample lift in place, thanks to a dry like setting up on the Texas/New Mexico state line. There is also going to be the heat, with highs in the upper 70s tomorrow. These are all ingredients for severe thunderstorms. We will see severe storms after 4:00 pm tomorrow from Lubbock, north. The main issues will be golf ball sized hail & wind more than 60 mph. Plan now for where you need to be tomorrow.
