The clouds did not want to hang around yesterday, as the sunshine was dominating and the warm air stuck around. Expect much of the same this afternoon, as we get a ridge of high pressure back in control over west Texas. The few clouds this morning will exit the region by noon and with the wind from the south, we’ll see highs up into the mid 80s today. Wind will be at 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow is going to be a very warm one with the wind staying breezy. Sunshine will dominate and we will need the wind to try to help cool things off. Lubbock’s record high for tomorrow is 92° and we will come close to that. Right now, it looks like we’ll reach 90° very easily. The Rolling Plains will be looking at highs from 91°-93° in some spots. Stay safe out there and stay hydrated.
