We’re looking at another round of clouds pushing into the area from west to east. There are actually some very light rain showers trying to make it to the ground. There is dry air from the surface, to 10,000 feet, so most showers are evaporating before they reach the ground. No measurable rain in eastern counties, even though it looks like there’s good rain there. We’ll see very light amounts of rain through 10:00 am.
The clouds will clear off after mid-morning, into the afternoon. We’ll get cooler air coming down from the north behind a cold front. So, be ready for wind to be at 20-25 mph today, gusting to 35 mph. Lubbock is going to only reach a high temperature of 70° today, but the air will feel more like the low 60s with the wind blowing from the north. So, have an extra layer as it will feel cooler.
