The weekend really made us think what month it really is. The calendar says April, but the air felt more like February! That changes today, as warmer air will make a return this afternoon. We’ll get that wind coming in from the west today at 10-15 mph. The sky is going to be sunny with Lubbock seeing a high temperature of 80°. We were only in the 50s on Sunday, so it will be nice to see warmer air.
A cold front is going to take its time coming through the entire area tomorrow. The northern counties will see the cooler air first and longest tomorrow. Highs there will only be in the 50s. The rest of the area will see highs closer to average, especially in Lubbock. The southern counties are going to be the warmest, with highs near 80°. Once the front makes it though, you’ll notice the cooler air. That time frame will be near sunset.
