I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. Expect warm air to return to the South & Rolling Plains this afternoon. A blocking pattern is going to be setting up this week. That means that any storm systems bringing rain & cooler air will be going around Texas. Therefore, sunshine will prevail & today will see highs back into the low 80s.
Tomorrow will see warm air & wind returning to the forecast. The wind will increase by the afternoon to 20-25 mph, with gusts upwards of 35-40 mph. There will be very dry air over us, as well. So, be careful around open flames, our fire danger is going to be high. Fires will spread very quickly & cause substantial damage. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 80s!
