We’re seeing cloudy skies to start off this Wednesday morning. There are passing showers & thunderstorms moving in from the southwest. This is following the moisture coming in from the monsoonal flow of the Desert Southwest. This will continue throughout the day, with a break in the early afternoon. There will be another round of storms later this evening. Lubbock will see a high of 86° today.
Showers & thunderstorms will linger in the area overnight & into Thursday morning. Coverage will be at 30% tonight. We’ll get another round of thunderstorms in the area tomorrow. During the afternoon & evening we’ll see 30% coverage of those storms. With the cloud cover & rain-cooled air, highs will be in the upper 80s once again. We’ll get peeks of sunshine during the day tomorrow, as well.
