It was nice to see the thunderstorms overnight. Lubbock picked up another .23″ of rain since yesterday afternoon. We are cutting into the deficit, but still have a long way to go. Today will see mostly cloudy skies, with peeks of sunshine in the early afternoon. Clouds will increase this evening, with more scattered storms. The high will reach 85° in Lubbock this afternoon.
There will be lingering showers & storms early tomorrow morning. Then, things will turn partly sunny in the afternoon, with isolated storms. The storms will only cover 10% of our area, but you should take the rain gear with you to the football games tomorrow night, just to be on the safe side. With the more sunshine tomorrow afternoon, we will reach a high of 87° here in Lubbock.
