Here we are with another cold start to the day. A week from today, at 4:44 am, winter will officially begin. It certainly feels like winter out there with temperatures into the upper 20s in Lubbock, with mid 20s off the Caprock. The sun will shine today & we will reach 60° for the high. However, a cold front will move through the area early this afternoon. That will drop temperatures into the low 50s by sunset.

Tomorrow morning will see weak moisture return to the area. Skies will be partly cloudy & the air will be quite cold, with lows into the mid 20s. There will be patchy areas of freezing drizzle tomorrow, but these spots will be few & far between. Definitely worth a mention, but nothing widespread. The afternoon will see partly sunny skies, with a high of 53° here in Lubbock. Wind will be at 10-15 mph.
