Things have changed drastically from this time on Monday. A cold front has moved through overnight. We’re seeing wind gusting between 35-37 mph right now. There are cloudy skies out there, as well. Temperatures have dropped down into the mid 30s for Lubbock & upper 20s to the northwest. With the wind blowing, it feels more like the teens to the northwest & low 20s here in Lubbock. The clouds will mix with sunshine today & we’ll get to a high of only 45°.
The wind will stay at 15-20 mph for tomorrow. However, with mostly sunny skies, Lubbock will be able to climb up to a high of 54°. That will feel much better than what we’re talking about today. A stronger cold front will rapidly approach by tomorrow evening, so don’t get used to seeing the temperatures up anywhere close to average. That front will pass through after midnight & will bring in very cold air by Thursday morning.
