There are actually some clouds working their way across the area this morning. That has allowed for temperatures to vary, depending on where you live. Closer to the state like, where the skies are more clear, readings are in the lower & mid 30s. Off to the east, we are seeing temperatures in the mid 40s & some lower 50s. The clouds help to keep the warmer air at the surface.
This afternoon will see more sunshine area-wide. The clouds will roll on out of here this morning. The wind will be on the increase during the morning. We’ll see wind at 15-20 mph today, with the worst wind over in the northern Rolling Plains. Some gusts there could reach 30 mph today. Lubbock will see a day similar to what we saw on Monday, with a high of 68°.
