Things are starting out very warm this morning & that’s not even due to any cloud cover. The clouds are staying off to the west for now. They will move in by this afternoon & make things partly sunny. It will still be very warm, as Lubbock is looking to tie the record high of 83°. We actually got to 87° on Thursday, which broke the 20 year old record of 83°.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, but still expect a warm start to your Saturday. Lows overnight will only drop down to 50° here in Lubbock. So, you may need a light jacket tomorrow morning if you’re headed to the Lion’s Club Pancake Festival. Things will be very warm again for tomorrow, but we’ll see partly sunny skies. We will break the record high tomorrow, as Lubbock will reach 85°. The current record high is 82°.
