We are still looking at cloudy skies throughout Lubbock County. There are some light rain showers trying to mix with some light snow along the state line, as well as in our northern counties. Any snow that does fall will not accumulate, or cause issues on the roads. Any rain we see in the area will move east by noon & the clouds will stay.
Wind today is going to stay between 20-30 mph, with some gusts approaching 40 mph. This is going to make things feel much colder. Lubbock will only see a high of 44° this afternoon, but with the wind, it will be feeling like we’re stuck in the 30s. The clouds will begin to finally clear overnight. That will allow for lows to drop into the mid & upper 20s by tomorrow morning.
