The clouds we saw overnight have begun to clear this morning & that will remain for the rest of the day. So, we’ll see sunny skies all day, with warmer air. The wind will pick up this afternoon to 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times. The air will be warmer than Sunday, as Lubbock will reach a high of 77°. The wind will only be on the rise by tomorrow, so be ready for more blowing dust.

A trough of low pressure is going to move into the Rockies tomorrow & approach the Texas Panhandle. This will promote high wind across west Texas, as we’ll have a tight pressure gradient. There will also be moisture in the mid & upper levels, so clouds will increase early in the morning through early afternoon. But, we’ll still have warm air, with a high of 75°. The wind will be at 30-40 mph, gusting to 60 mph at times.
