The mid & upper-level moisture is already bringing in cloudy skies this morning. These clouds will stay in the mid & upper levels through early afternoon. There will be some clearing by the afternoon from west to east. This will help to kick up the wind for the northern & northwestern counties. Wind here will gust 60-65 mph. There will be blowing dust spreading east this afternoon with the stronger wind. Sustained wind will be 30-40 mph. Lubbock will reach a high of 75°.
A cold front will move into the area by tomorrow morning. This will push the clouds & wind to the east. During the morning, our wind will be at 10-15 mph, with the higher end wind getting to 30 mph. However, by afternoon, with clearing skies, we’ll see wind staying light under the blue sky. Highs will be lower, but it will remain a nice day. We’ll get to a high of 59°.
