Yesterday was record-setting across the area, in terms of high temperatures. Lubbock got to 80°, which broke the old record of 76°. Today will be different. A weak cold front moving in will keep highs into the mid & upper 60s area-wide. Those highs will still be more than ten degrees above the average for this time of year. Skies will be mostly sunny & the wind will be light, so it will be a great day to get outdoors & enjoy it!

A strong low pressure system will bring in much colder air by tomorrow morning. Lows will be near freezing in Lubbock & areas north. There will also be moisture present. That will aide in creating freezing drizzle from the central South Plains, north to the southern Panhandle counties. Otherwise, there will be light rain showers in the Rolling Plains, with some drizzle elsewhere. Highs tomorrow will only be in the low 40s.
