The wind is howling out there now & it will be the main problem throughout the day. Wind will be sustained at 25-35 mph, with gusts around 45 mph through about 5:00 pm, or so. So, we may be seeing some blowing dust, among other things today. The clouds that we are seeing now will clear out this afternoon. That will allow the sun to shine, but behind a cold front, we will be seeing highs in the low 50s.

Tonight will be clear & cold, with a low of 27°. But, tomorrow, we will be seeing less wind in the area. The sun will be shining on your Friday, but the high will be right at normal in Lubbock, which is 55°. A ridge of high pressure starts to build in tomorrow, which is why the weather will be calm & much warmer as we move into the weekend.
