We’re looking at cloudy skies to start off your Wednesday. The clouds will be lingering across the area during the day today. We’re also seeing colder air in west Texas, thanks to yesterday’s cold front. Basically all reporting sites are coming in with readings in the 20s. The only exception is to the southeast of Lubbock, where they are barely at 30°. The cold air stays today, as we will only see a high of 47°. The wind will be at 10-15 mph, making it feel like we’re in the upper 30s.

By tomorrow morning, our stronger cold front will have passed through the area. Lows will be in the mid 20s to start the day. There will be more clouds than sunshine area-wide. Thursday is going to be a frigid day, as highs will not be above freezing. Lubbock will only reach 31°, while northwestern counties till be in the upper 20s for highs! So, be ready to bundle up & really try to stay warm for the next few days as this cold air stays around.
