Boy, it was a hot one out there on Monday. Lubbock actually set a new record high! We topped out at 108°, shattering the previous record of 104°, set in 1970. Today is going to be another hot one. There will be more sunshine out there & fewer clouds. Expect the wind to stay at 10-15 mph. We’ll see a high of 104°, with the record for today at 105°, set in 1933. So, if things work out like yesterday, we could actually tie a record high today.

There will be much of the same for tomorrow in the area. This ridge of high pressure isn’t moving too fast too soon. We will see more sunshine & fewer clouds across the South & Rolling Plains for Wednesday. That means that the summer time heat is going to cook us, again! Lubbock will see a high of 106°. The record high for tomorrow is 107°, set in 1933. So, today & tomorrow will be a couple of hot days, after the record-setting day on Monday.
