Yesterday was a very nice afternoon. We saw plenty of sunshine. Lubbock got to a high of 96°. But, with the wind blowing at 10-15 mph, things really did not feel too bad at all. We can expect much of the same this afternoon in terms of sunshine & warm air. The wind will be more calm today, only staying at 5-10 mph. Lubbock will see a high of 95°. That is just two degrees above average. As we move toward the middle of summer, we will take that!

Tomorrow will see isolated cumulus clouds in the area. They may give us a few seconds break from all of the sunshine. Aside from that, they’ll be nice to look at! High pressure is dominating the southern plains. It’s centered over Oklahoma & will not move out of here until the middle of next week. So, expect the warm weather to hang on. However, things will not be anywhere close to what we saw last week. Lubbock will see a high of 96° for tomorrow afternoon.
