We are going to be very similar this afternoon. Expect those patchy fair-weather cumulus clouds to continue to float through this afternoon. They are going to give us very few breaks from the sunshine. With the high pressure still very much in control, expect Lubbock to see a high of 96°. Only a degree higher than what we saw yesterday.
Tomorrow will see the cumulus clouds stay few & far between as the sunshine is going to take control over west Texas. The warmer air really starts to flow into the region by tomorrow afternoon. We’ll see higher high temperatures area-wide. Lubbock is going to see our high jump up to 97°. Some locations in the Rolling Plains will see highs at, or slightly above 100°. But, things won’t be even close to what we saw last week.
