Yesterday, we saw another round of spotty afternoon thunderstorms. These storms stayed small & isolated at best. Not many spots actually measurable rainfall. Today will be much of the same. Expect a mostly sunny & muggy afternoon. Lubbock will reach a high of 95°, but it will feel closer to 100° as that moisture sticks around. Any thunderstorms we see this afternoon will be small & isolated. Coverage will stay at 10%.
Thursday is shaping up to stay very similar to the last few days. That moisture is still going to be flowing into the South & Rolling Plains. So, we’ll see a muggy afternoon, under mostly sunny skies. The afternoon storms will stay at 10%, very small, spotty & unorganized. Lubbock will see a high of 96° tomorrow afternoon, but it will once again feel like 100-101° out there. The humidity will begin to push out of the area by Friday.
