The first full week of July is going to be very hot & dangerous. We haven’t see several days of the triple digit heat yet this year, but we are going to this week. Expect today to be mostly sunny, with wind at 10-15 mph. Lubbock will see a high of 101°. Remember to stay safe out there & stay hydrated, with plenty of sunscreen, too! Keep an eye on the sky for thunderstorms in the Rolling Plains & be aware for any lightning.
Much of the same for tomorrow. There will be mostly sunny skies, with afternoon isolated thunderstorms. Coverage of any storms we do see on Tuesday will stay at 10%, so don’t get your hopes up for any storms to really cool down a widespread area. Lubbock is going to see a high of 103° for the day tomorrow. It will be a great idea to just stay inside & enjoy the cool air conditioning.
