We’re going to see mostly sunny skies this afternoon, with the hot summer weather continuing. There will be isolated storms in the Rolling Plains. Coverage, at best, will be at 10%, much like what we saw yesterday. Lubbock will see a high of 105° today, which would break the record of 104°, set in 1971. So, be ready for more extreme heat out there & remember to stay safe!
Tomorrow is going to be very much like what we are going to see today. There will be mostly sunny skies, with another round of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Coverage tomorrow of those storms will be at 10%. In terms of highs, Lubbock will reach 104°, just shy of the record of 105°. The Rolling Plains will see highs anywhere from 101-107°. Stay hydrated & wear sunscreen while outdoors. Or, you can be sure to stay safe & just stay inside where it’s nice & cool!
