There are some thunderstorms ongoing this morning across the southern panhandle counties. Castro County, east through Hall is seeing some heavy rain with those storms. They will continue to push south & southeast this morning. Not so sure Lubbock will be affected, but I will watch that.

The rest of the day is looking to be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 80s. There will be a few more isolated thunderstorms this evening & overnight. Any storm will have some heavy rain & gusty winds. I am not anticipating any severe weather today, which is a good thing. Thunderstorms will be isolated tomorrow, as well. Lubbock will probably see a few storms during the day Friday. We’ll get up to 87° tomorrow.
