We’re starting off with cloudy skies for the entire viewing area. Some showers are leftover in Scurry & Borden Counties. There will be the potential for heavy rain with any shower/storm that we see today. The flooding threat is much lower than what we saw on Wednesday, however with any storm, roads will flood. This afternoon, Lubbock will see a high of 72° thanks to the cloudy skies.
Things will clear out by tomorrow morning. High pressure begins to take over our weather as we move into the weekend. That means to expect plenty of sunshine & dry conditions. Friday is looking to be mostly sunny, with highs in the low 80s. The wind will be at 5-10 mph. So, it will be great for outdoor activities, including the NCAA Regional baseball tournament here in Lubbock.
