I hope everyone got to enjoy the weekend! We’re actually starting off the new week with warm this morning. Readings are only down into the low & mid 60s area-wide. The air is dry, so at least it’s not muggy outside. The warm air will stay this afternoon, as we will see mostly sunny skies. Highs will be getting to 88° in Lubbock, which is a degree below average.

Tomorrow will stay mostly sunny, as a ridge of high pressure is going to control the weather this week. High pressure has sinking air, so that really keeps clouds in check. There will be fair-weather cumulus clouds out there, but that’s really all. Highs tomorrow will climb to 89° in Lubbock, with low & mid 90s in the Rolling Plains, low 80s to the northwest. Wind will remain light.
