Clouds have been on the increase since midnight from north to south. A light shower is trying to hold together in Swisher County, but that is very weak. We will see the clouds linger through mid-morning. Then, as the air warms up & dries out, the sun will dominate the area. Much like Monday, we will see mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Lubbock will see an average high today of 89°.
There will be increasing clouds throughout the night, again. The cloud cover won‘t be as thick as what we’re seeing this morning. That cloud cover will help to keep things warm through the morning. Lows will only drop down into the mid 60s. Once the clouds clear tomorrow, that high pressure will dominate, bringing us sunshine & increasing the wind. Highs will be in the low 90s tomorrow.
