There is a cold front working its way through the area this morning. It will be out of the way by the afternoon. Behind it, we’ll see sunny skies with lighter wind. There will be lower high temperatures, but we’ll still be near average. With that wind flow changing to the north & northeast, highs will drop to 61° in Lubbock, with highs in the mid 60s for the Rolling Plains. With the wind light, it will be a nice day to get outside.
Temperatures drop down below freezing by tomorrow morning, with clear skies & light wind. So, be ready to grab your jackets as you head out tomorrow morning. By the afternoon, there will be more sunshine & light wind. We’ll see highs in the mid 60s for most, closer to 70° in the Rolling Plains. I know we do need the rain, but at least the weather will allow for you to get outside & enjoy it.
