We’re starting off this spring break week with some very warm air in the South & Rolling Plains. We will see tons of sunshine today, with west wind coming in at 20-30 mph. The west wind is going to come off the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico. As the air sinks, it warms, then spreads east. That will help Lubbock reach a high of 85° this afternoon!
By tomorrow, expect much of the same, in terms of sunshine & warm air. The wind will be lower on Tuesday, staying at 10-15 mph. Highs will be in the low 80s for the South Plains & mid 80s over in the Rolling Plains. A weak cold front will push through the area by Wednesday afternoon. That will hold highs down into the mid 70s, with sunny skies.
