We are currently looking at clear skies all over the South & Rolling Plains. There is relatively warm air in place, even this morning. Most locations are reporting temperatures in the low & mid 40s! That is nearly ten degrees above average for this morning. That will set the tone for this afternoon.
We will see wind at 10-20 mph today, under sunny skies. Much warmer air will push through for all reporting sites. Expect Lubbock to see a high of 83° this afternoon. That is 20° above average. Believe it, or not, but the record high for today is 86°, so we won’t even tie, or break the record!
