We’re seeing some thin clouds across the southern third of the viewing area to start the day. Those clouds aren’t doing much, as temperatures are still in the 30s south of Lubbock. Expect a sunny Friday, with slightly warmer air returning. We’ll have a high of 65° this afternoon. Wind will return at 15-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph at times this afternoon. So, that is the downer for today.
Overnight, we’ll experience increasing cloud cover. That is going to help to keep low temperatures up well above the average. In fact, Lubbock will only drop down to 44° by morning. That will feel chilly, but it is not too bad at all. Clouds stick around for your Saturday, mixed with the sunshine. That will limit the high temperatures in the afternoon, as Lubbock will reach 66°. Most areas will stay in the low & mid 60s through the day.
