All is clear and quiet this morning in the South and Rolling Plains. The low pressure system is far enough to the east today that we will not see any clouds and the wind will be on the lighter side. The sunshine is going to dominate the area this afternoon. We will not see much in the way of clouds at all. The high will get to 77° in Lubbock, below average. The wind will stay at 5-10 mph.
Overnight, expect clear skies, light wind and quiet weather. Lows will drop down into the low 50s for Lubbock and most of the area. There will be low and mid 40s to the northwest, just because of those clear skies and light wind. The afternoon is going to remain sunny, but things will be warmer. Lubbock gets to 84° for Saturday. Wind is going to be from the south at 10-15 mph.
