We are looking at cloudy skies & cooler air working its way into the area this morning. A cold front is pushing in from the north. That will actually keep afternoon highs into the low & mid 60s. Lubbock’s high of 69° as already occurred at 12:49 this morning. The wind will be elevated this afternoon, blowing between 20-25 mph from the northeast.

Overnight, showers & thunderstorms will begin to develop after 1:00 am. There will be heavy rain at times, especially during the morning rush. So, be careful as you head out to work & school tomorrow morning. Rain will be heavy at times throughout the day. Coverage is looking like 40% tomorrow across the area. So, keep the rain gear handy tomorrow & Thursday.
