We had another busy night with showers & thunderstorms moving through the area. Expect increasing clouds during the afternoon. We’ll see more thunderstorms this evening, after 5:00 pm. These storms will produce very heavy rainfall & small hail. The overall severe threat is low, however, it was last night, too. So, thunderstorms will be ongoing overnight tonight for 40% of the area. The high in Lubbock today will be 84°.

A cold front is going to move into the area after midnight. That will aide in the thunderstorms area wide. Coverage of storms throughout the day tomorrow will be 50%. So, expect more heavy rain with any thunderstorms that get going. The severe threat is low & even hail is not expected. So, that is good news. Behind that cold front, we will see a high of only 75° for the first day in June.
