There are leftover low clouds this morning in the Rolling Plains. That is really all that we have, however. The weather is very quiet to begin this Thursday and that will be the story as we move throughout the day. Expect sunny skies and wind at 10-15 mph this afternoon. Highs will remain below average, as Lubbock will get to 73° for the high temperature today. The warmer air will return to the area by tomorrow.
Expect clear skies and light wind overnight, into Friday morning. Lows will drop down into the upper 40s. So, things will not be as cold to start tomorrow as they will be for today. The afternoon is going to be perfect if you want to get outside. Skies will be sunny and the wind will only be at 5-10 mph. Lubbock is going to reach 81°, which is right on average. So, enjoy Friday afternoon. It’s going to be wonderful!
