Once again, we’re starting out the day with clear skies & warm conditions. In fact, Lubbock is still coming in with a temperature of 63°. Expect there to be some cumulus clouds in the area this afternoon. That will keep things mostly sunny. Wind will be increasing to 15-25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph, too. Lubbock is going to see a high of 88°, with low 90s in the Rolling Plains.
We’re watching a low pressure system that will move over the Four Corners region by tomorrow. This will help to increase clouds during the morning. So, Saturday will be partly sunny, but highs will get into the mid 80s. Wind at 20-30 mph. With that low pressure system, after 7:00 pm, there will be isolated thunderstorms, generally east of Lubbock. Coverage will be low, only at 10%. We’re really lacking the moisture, so storms will be hard to get going.
