It’s hard to believe that we are now in November, especially when you walk out the door this afternoon. A high pressure ridge is set up over our regional today, which will bring in the sunshine & very warm air. We got near tying the record high on Monday, but we will set a new record high this afternoon. Lubbock will be mostly sunny & breezy, with a high of 88°. The record high for today is 85°, set in 1994.
Things will change by tomorrow afternoon. A cold front will sweep on in through the area during the afternoon hours. Our high will be lower, but still above average, at 74°. There will be showers & thunderstorms finally accompanying this cold front. We’ll mainly see them affecting 30% of the area by the afternoon & evening hours. That will increase to 40% overnight, into Thursday morning.
