There are clear skies in the area to start off this Wednesday. The clear skies & light wind, for now, is allowing for temperatures to drop down into the upper 30s in some spots to the west of Lubbock. We’ll see sunny skies, again, this afternoon. That ridge of high pressure is moving away today, but wills till keep us warm. Lubbock will see a high of 80°.

A weak trough of low pressure will scoot through west Texas tomorrow. This will bring in passing clouds in the afternoon hours. We’ll still see mostly sunny skies & warm air, because this trough is moving quickly. The wind will increase tomorrow to 20-25 mph, gusting to 35 mph. We’ll see a high of 79°, but it’ll feel like the low 70s. All-in-all it will still be a very warm day, but changes come by Friday morning.
