We’re starting the week with the clouds moving to the east, which will make way for a mostly sunny afternoon. The main issue today will be the wind. It will be sustained at 25-30 mph, with gusts reaching 40-45 mph. So, be ready to be blown away as you spend time outdoors today. We’ll see a cooler air mass than where we were on Sunday. So, highs will be lower & the air will feel cooler thanks to the wind. Lubbock will see a high of 61°.
Tomorrow is going to remain mostly sunny & windy. Expect the wind to be lower on Tuesday, but it will still be sustained at 15-25 mph, gusting to 30-35 mph. High temperatures will be back below average for the day, giving a hint of chilliness to the air. Lubbock is going to reach only 55° for the high temperature, which is below our average of 58°. So, grab a jacket tomorrow, as it will be a chilly day.
