Hopefully everyone enjoyed the weekend & enjoyed the extra hour of sleep on Saturday night. The showers & storms that were in the area yesterday evening have cleared us to the east. We’ll see mostly sunny skies this afternoon, with direr air. However, a cold front will sweep through west Texas. Before it does, Lubbock will get to 71°, which is above average for today. I can’t rule out a shower, or storm with the cold front in the Rolling Plains, but coverage will be less than 10%.
Behind the cold front, tomorrow will remain mostly sunny, but highs will be much lower. We’ll remain dry throughout the day on Tuesday. The wind will increase to 10-15 mph. Lubbock will see a high of 62°, which is back below average. With the wind, we’ll feel like we’re only in the upper 50s. So, dress warm tomorrow & don’t forget to get out & vote!
