Today is going to be the day between two cold fronts. We saw the one move in yesterday morning, which actually kept highs in the upper 70s here in Lubbock. the next one will come in overnight tonight. So, today is going to remain sunny & dry, with light wind. Expect highs to be in the mid 80s this afternoon, thanks to the sunshine & dry conditions.
The stronger cold front will be moving through the area tonight. It will kick up the wind to 20-25 mph through the morning hours. As it does, temperatures will drop to the low 50s. The wind will actually help to keep temperatures from bottoming out tomorrow morning. Behind the front, we’ll see wind at 10-15 mph, with sunny skies staying with us. Lubbock will see a high of only 70°. That wind will help make it feel like the mid 60s. Highs will stay in the 60s to the west of us.
