The warm weather we saw over the weekend will stick around the are as we start out the first work & school week of October. Expect partly sunny skies in the area today. Lubbock will see a high temperature of 86°. I can’t rule out a few spots getting to 90° in the Rolling Plains. That will really depend on the cloud cover.
After we clear out tonight, things will start off in the low 60s tomorrow morning, which is above where we should be. Expect sunny skies in the afternoon, with wind on the increase at 15-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph. So, tomorrow is not going to be a great day to be outdoors. Lubbock will still see an above average high of 87°.
