The forecast for today will not be spooky at all, unless you call warm weather spooky. That trend that we have basically seen for the entire month of October will continue this afternoon. There will be abundant sunshine, with wind at 10-15 mph from the south-southwest. That will keep highs up in the mid 80s today. We’ll be close to the record high for Halloween.

The start of November is going to feel more like the start of April, or May! This high pressure ridge will keep things sunny & very warm for one more day. The record high for November 1 is 85°. Lubbock will see sunny skies tomorrow, with a forecast high of 88°. So, we will be setting a new record high for November 1. Highs will easily reach the low 90s in the Rolling Plains.
