What a difference a day makes, right? A strong cold front as cleared the area & we can really feel that cooler & drier air working its way down into the South & Rolling Plains. The wind is going to cause issues today, because it will blow at 15-25 mph, which will make things feel cooler than it actually is. Lubbock will only reach a high of 62°. So, bundle up for the high school football games tonight!
We’ll see cloudy skies for your Saturday. That will actually help to not see a cold start. The clouds will work as a blanket & which keeps most areas out of the 30s tomorrow morning. Lubbock will drop down to 46°, which is still on the chilly side. There will be isolated spots with lows in the upper 30s to the west & northwest. The wind tomorrow will be at 5-10 mph, so that will help things not feel as cool. Lubbock will see a high of 72°.
