We saw heavy rain falling in the area yesterday, just in time for the evening rush hour. There is a break from that rain across nearly all of the area now, but the showers & storms aren’t done just yet. Expect cloudy skies this afternoon. The high pressure to the east will still pump in moisture, so there will be 40% of us seeing storms this afternoon. With the clouds & few peeks of sunshine, Lubbock will see a high of 81°.
Tomorrow will begin to see the end of the storms. However, 30% will still get those thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. With the amount of moisture in the air, heavy rain will be an issue with any storm that passes through. Have the rain gear with you for those football games tomorrow night, you will need it. There will be breaks in the clouds tomorrow, so Lubbock’s high will be 80°.
