It was nice to get more rain in the area over the weekend. We’re still in a deficit for the month & year, but showers & storms this week will help to cut into that. Today is going to see increasing clouds this afternoon. Even with that, the sun will make its way through the clouds & we’ll see a warm afternoon. Lubbock will get to 90°, with highs in the low 90s off the Caprock.
There will be changes in the forecast by tomorrow afternoon. Another cold front will move in tomorrow afternoon. We will see cloudy skies, with 30% of the area getting showers & thunderstorms. Some storms will have heavy rain, as there is plenty of moisture available. Highs will be in the mid 80s tomorrow, with those temperatures dropping as the storms move through.
