There were more showers & thunderstorms around the area yesterday afternoon. There was even a tornado warned storm in western Curry County very early this morning. The active weather pattern will continue throughout the day today. There will be more thunderstorms, mainly scattered, in the region. Coverage is looking to be 30% today. The forecast has been tough & changing, which will hold true through the weekend. Lubbock will get to a high of 83° this afternoon.

Expect a better look at thunderstorms for tomorrow afternoon. A weak cold front is going to be approaching the area from the north tomorrow. Ahead of it, we will be in a favorable location to see 50% of us getting thunderstorms. There will be heavy rain with any storms, so street flooding is possible in any location. Make sure you have that rain gear with you for the football games tomorrow night. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 80s.
